Full-time Positions
Applications are invited for two full time faculty positions beginning in Fall 2009, at the tenure-track (Assistant Professor) level. Appointees will be expected to pursue a vigorous research program and to teach graduate as well as undergraduate students. While outstanding applicants from all mathematical research areas will be considered, preference will be given to those with research interests in the following areas of research: (A) topology; (B) computational and applied mathematics. Applicants at higher levels will be considered in exceptional cases. Applicants should have completed the Ph.D. degree by the time the appointment begins and are expected to present evidence of excellence in research and teaching. Applications should include the standard AMS Cover Sheet for Academic Employment, curriculum vitae, a statement about current and future research, a statement on teaching experience, at least three letters of reference addressing research, and one letter of reference addressing teaching.
