Problematic problems.

To report a problem, use the error reporting form.

General issues.

• Questions with check boxes generally require that you select all correct answers in order to have the question marked correct.
• There is no limit on the number of times that you may submit answers to your homework. All submissions for credit must occur by the due date. Once you receive credit for a question, you will never lose credit for that question.
• It appears that some of the problems do not display correctly in Mozilla Firefox running on a Macintosh. The most commonly reported symptom is that subtraction signs are missing. If you wish you may try to correct this by installing additional fonts. Otherwise, students with a Macintosh should print out their homework from a Windows machine. (Mathskeller is a convenient place to do this.) Submitting homework problems on a Macintosh should not present any difficulty.
• If you submit a multipart problem, mathclass.org will sometimes indicate which part of your answer was incorrect by writing "Your answer part n is incorrect.". This means that the nth item on the semi-colon separated list of answers is not correct. Empty items are not counted.

• Problem 8 (code 31) The correct answer was not accepted by mathclass.org. The answer was edited at 3:30pm on Monday, 27 November 2006

Homework C2

• Question 1 (code 4). The question asks to find the root(s) of the equation 2x-sqrt(x^2+1) = 0. The "=0" on the right-hand side of the equation is missing.
• Question 16. The correct answer to the common version was not accepted by mathclass.org. This was corrected on 24 October 2006.

Homework R2

• Question 18. The question was edited on 16 October 2006 to clarify the question and to correct a typographical error.

Homework B6.

• Question 6, (code 19) The correct answer was not accepted by mathclass.org. The question was edited on 12 October 2006.
• Question 12, all versions. The answer at mathclass.org was not correct and was changed on 10 October. Edited again on 12 October 2006.

Homework B4.

• Question 22. (All versions.) The correct answers are not accepted by mathclass.org. A correction was made on 5 October 2006.
• Question 5. (All versions.) The correct answers are not accepted by mathclass.org. A correction was made on 25 September 2006.

• Question 7. On several versions, the correct answer was not accepted by mathclass.org. A correction was made on 20 September 2006.
• Problem 18 (code 71). The correct answer was not accepted by mathclass.org. A correction was made on 22 September 2006.

Homework A2.

• Problem 9 (all versions). The numerical values in the table must be correct to three decimal places.
• Problem 10 (code 40). The question intends to ask about the limit from the left, the limit from the right and the ordinary limit. In one version, the + and - on 1+ and 1- are missing. This was fixed at about 3pm on Tuesday, 29 August 2006.
